Forward zone domain

Example: safesploit.com or example.com

IPv4 network / reverse zone

Supports octet prefixes and aligned /8, /16 or /24 CIDR. Example: 172.16. or 192.0.2.0/24.

Authoritative DNS host

Short label or absolute name. Full zones need an A record for an in-zone nameserver.

SOA admin name

DNS mailbox notation, such as admin or hostmaster.example.com., not an email address.

TTL (seconds or BIND units)

Previous SOA serial (optional)

Incremented after each successful generation. Supply the installed serial before applying a change.

Forward output mode

Include output has absolute names and per-record TTLs. Use it inside a zone with $INCLUDE.

Paste hosts.d content

Format: IP primary-host alias1 alias2. Primary hostname becomes an A record. Extra hostnames become CNAMEs by default.

Zone origin (optional if $ORIGIN is present)

Required for relative owners when the pasted text has no $ORIGIN.

Hosts name format

Each IP has one deterministic canonical name followed by its aliases.

Paste a BIND forward zone or include fragment

IPv4 A records and CNAME chains are supported. Other record types are reported and omitted. File includes and generated records are blocked.
